A paradise called Noosa

Located on the Sunshine Coast, in the South east of the state of Qld in Australia, Noosa includes several suburbs: Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach and Tewantin.
Noosa is a tropical paradise, with a climate that reaches about 8 degrees in winter, and hot summers, interrupted by frequent showers.
What attracts the attention, is the relaxed lifestyle, if you walk along the river in Noosaville, you can not miss a good ice cream, or a flatwhite, at Thomas Corner. You can bring your own coffee along the promenade, where you can see people along the river fishing, sunbathing, drinking a glass of fine Australian wine relaxing on a picnic rug. Here the ultimate thing, is a picnic so, put your shoes off and sit on your picnic rug with a basket with cheese, crackers, salmon canapés and fruit or what best suits you, a good book or good music and watch the pelicans gliding on the water.
In Noosa you are spoiled for choice, starting with a river cruise, you can go for a ride with the jet ski or canoeing. The three main beaches are Noosa Main Beach, Alexandria Beach and Sunshine Beach. Going from Noosa Junction, you can go for a wonderful walk through the National park until you get to watch the breathtaking view of Alexandria Bay from the promontory of Noosa Heads, it’s an experience you can’t miss. Going down into the park, one is carried away by the atmosphere of vegetation, a mix of coastal plain, eucalyptus forests and rainforests, arriving directly in Hasting street. Here you can choose to sit in a local café drinking a delicious aperitifs with friends or go shopping along the windows of the town center, where there are clothing boutiques, restaurants and cafés. At this point you can choose to go to Main beach, where you can have some surf lessons and watch the sunset over the ocean, it’s a remarkable experience that you can’t miss, for the nature, the lights and the colors.
Where to spend an evening in Noosa
In noosa you can spend a classy evening in a good restaurant in Hastings Street, organize a barbecue or eat fish and chips along the river.
In Hastings street there are plenty of places where to spend the evening, as Cafe’ le Monde, Money Penny, Locale or Berardo. If you want a party atmosphere, then do not miss Sogo Bar with theme nights and live music.
The Italian cuisine is very popular in noosa , you can taste it at Waterfront restaurant or Italian Marina and you can also enjoy a good fish and chips along the river or a barbecue with friends in Gympie Terrace where you can take a tour of the shops and local restaurants. Here you can also find Chinese, Indian, Thai and Japanese cuisine.
In noosa Junction I recommend you to try at least once, a smoothie, at Pardons Fruit shop, right near the bus station.
You can’t miss a visit to Eumundi markets about 20 minutes by bus southwest of noosa. The market is on Wednesday or Saturday, here you can find from local handcraft to food, you can stop and listen to live music while enjoying a good juice of tropical fruit.
What’s Australians lifestyle like in Noosa? Getting up early and going surfing. Getting on the bus it’s more likely to find people with surfboards than with briefcases. Australians love to drink a glass of wine or beer, relaxing along the river or fishing or jogging with baby stroller that they bring at their pace.
If you want to take a walk, you can go near Yandina, but before getting into the vegetation it’s better to ask some local people or a local guide, there are wonderful sources of water that you can’t even imagine to find and routes that are not always outlined.
Among the excursions on your list there should be also Fraser Island where you can rent a jeep and sleep in tents and where it’s likely the sightings of dolphins and whales or snorkelling in lakes like the one of Mackenzie and Basin and visiting Eli Creek. Then there is the whale watching tours from Mooloolaba to see whales in their annual migration between Australia and Antartica and the visit to Australia Zoo where you can see koalas, kangaroos, snakes, possums, parrots and take pictures with few animals.
For a moment of relax you can spend some time at the beauty day spa in Noosa Marina. Here you will find a market on Sunday from 8 am to 2 pm and you can sit and drink coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.
